think about the concept of a library. that’s one thing that humanity didn’t fuck up. we did a good thing when we made libraries

fem-catalyst: I agreed with everything you had to say apart from patriarchy.

I think patriarchy is a complex and sometimes problematic idea. In what ways do you disagree?

Have you realized that your age is the number of times you’ve been around the sun.

Feminism stand down

fandomsandfeminism:

fem-catalyst:

I think it might be time for feminism to step down.

“We want equality” - So why don’t i feel equal?

I’m to believe i am part of a gender that can only hurt and destroy. While women are the fixers and natural superior breed for advance.

Defend a father, show concern for a male rape survivor as if he was a woman, educate young boys and girls about rape so that they are aware both genders are capable of committing.

When i see more of this, maybe my faith in a female orientated movement will return.

“Your movement about liberating and empowering women isn’t praising MEN enough! If you want to be take seriously, then you have to talk about and praise MEN more.”

Thank you for demonstrating exactly why we still need feminism.

You are both wrong.

Feminism needs to talk about men* and masculine-identified people more— because masculinity comes with privilege(for some men* more than others) and that privilege can be used for good as long as we’re aware of it.

Feminism should think about men* more— about how they can be our allies and about how they too are harmed by systems of oppression, like sexism, racism, heterosexism, ableism, etc. Men* are not the enemy to feminism. Patriarchy is the enemy.

“Under Moffat’s watch the Doctor has morphed from an alien who loves humans and feels their pain and experiences love and desire and empathy to a stunted, child-like and extremely bloody irritating space-goon who flaps about like an injured moth when other people’s emotions are making him uncomfortable. And makes sexist jokes about how women are scary. And wants his married companions to sleep in bunk beds. And can save human lives but does not seem to understand human feelings. Who would travel with this man? He might be zany and charming and have nice boots, but he is fundamentally cold and unrelatable.”
